This last assignment is a report to management that analyzes your existing programs against a recognized international standard (NFPA 1600) and integrates emergency management and business continuity. You will identify gaps between your existing structured plan and NFPA 1600 and your plan for closing these gaps.

Assess compliance and gaps in compliance of your chosen location against the requirements of NFPA 1600 Annex X (you may also want to review Annex C, the Small Business Preparedness Guide).
Explain why any gaps you identify may exist
Prioritize the gaps based on risk to the location. (Turn in your gap checklist with your explanation.)
Design a plan of strategies for how to handle the gaps based on risk.
Explain whether the correct personnel competencies are in place to close the identified gaps. Include learning systems for personnel.
Analyze the metrics to be used to monitor the improvement of compliance with NFPA 1600. Explain any technology that will be needed to complete the plan.
Examine how media can be used to support the proposed plan.
