100 word reflection on Native Religions

Each student will post a weekly reflection/discussion on the Monday discussion board. Students will pick one point of interest from the weekly readings and post a 100-150 word reflection each week.

I need you to write 100 word reflection on myth and legend then reflect on the these posts:

1- One thing that I found interesting about native religions is the use of shamans. Shamanism as described in the textbook is a well respected, usually male, community member that helps guide the spirits in a person’s body. What is most interesting is the idea that there are active spirits considered to be in someone’s body that can be considered “good” or “bad”. And these spirits inside a body can even drive this shaman mad or kill the shaman if they are not particularly good at their job. In order to help guide the shaman, mushrooms or another psychedelic agent would be used to create a trance like state so they can connect with the spirit and guide them.

2- It is really important to learn about native religions since my major deals with patients from all around the world Therefore, I have to learn more about how they view their religions, what these spiritual means for them or how nature is linked to their religions. In the reading, I learned that Shamans can help cure the patients and heal them using power and wisdom drones from their encounters in other realities. Shamanism is a respected male who has the power to cure the patient by controlling spirituals. I found it so interesting that they have the power to do many things such as healing, connecting to other worlds, or predicting the future. Also, it was so interesting that Shamans eat mushrooms in order to get the plant spirit trances in themselves

DB 2 brainstorming

Having adequate knowledge about the areas to gain knowledge plays a critical role in the creation of adequate knowledge collection measures (Bild et al., 2018). One of the areas that I selected is the subway that would enable me to see how different people engage in different practices. The reason for choosing the subway is that it would enable me to evaluate the most diverse areas that have more people and also to gain exposure on the patterns that are followed in an area with more people. The other area that I was interested in is a public park. Visiting a public park was considered so that it will enable me to interact with people from diverse communities. Additionally, I find a public park more interesting since it allows people who may not have information about their colleagues to start a random conversation. The third option that I had is the fast-food drive-through that would enable me to gain more skills on the way most people follow the set procedures. In these settings, a client gets in the drive-through and places their order by following the set procedure.

From the options as mentioned above, the main choice that I lean towards is the public park. The public park is an area where people with the different cultural and financial background may meet and interact. Different reasons make people from different background to meet in a public park (Latham & Layton, 2019). considering the public parks was aimed at analyzing some of the ways in which people with different reasons for visiting a public park may engage in a random conversation. In addition to this, the assessment of the public parks was aimed at gaining an insight into the forces that attract people together in random areas. With this information, I was able to develop appropriate practices that would assist in ensuring that some of the barriers that may hinder people from interacting more.

The kind of information that I will need when visiting a public park is the number of people who may visit the park. With this knowledge, I will be able to understand some of the practices that may allow people to break the possible barriers and interact. The other information that I will need is the main conversation starters that strangers may rely on when engaging in a random conversation with a stranger. After visiting the public park, I will pay attention to the way most of the people respond to the efforts that strangers may put in place when starting a conversation (Hindley, 2020). I will also focus on the practices that are followed when people interact with non-respondent strangers. To make a proper record that I will later refer to when making a decision, I will need to focus on the use of technology as well as the charitable actions that people may engage in when visiting a public park. To ensure that this is accomplished, I will need to make notes and at the same time record some videos on the most successful stranger interaction that I may experience.
